LifeFlight airlifts man after Moreton Bay crash

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew yesterday airlifted a man to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a tree.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 2.37pm to a rural road in the Moreton Bay region and landed in a paddock near the scene.

In a multi-agency response, the incident was also attended by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, Queensland Fire Department (QFD) firefighters, and Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the man for facial, chest and abdominal injuries.

The man, in his 20s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
