LifeFlight airlifts a man after a trail bike incident

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight helicopter airlifted a man on Saturday after he came off a trail bike near Flinders Peak, west of Jimboomba.

The LifeFlight aeromedical team landed the helicopter on a rocky outcrop near the incident.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic treated the man for suspected broken ribs and a punctured lung.

The man in his 20s was initially flown to Mater Hospital in a stable condition and then transported by ambulance to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
