The LifeFlight Bundaberg-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital, after he fell from his horse.
The rescue chopper was tasked to a property in the North Burnett region at 11:46am.
It’s believed the man in his 60s was mustering cattle when he fell.
Due to the steep terrain of the area, the crew were able to land the helicopter in a paddock near the incident and the LifeFlight medical crew were driven up to the patient.
He was treated by the aeromedical team and local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, before he was transported back down to the aircraft.
The patient was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition with shoulder and chest injuries.
