LifeFlight airlifts man after truck rollover

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a semi-truck rollover south of Moonie.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 1.59pm and landed on the highway, which was closed in both directions.

In a multi-agency response, the incident was also attended by Queensland Fire Department (QFD) firefighters and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the man for chest and head injuries.

The patient, in his 50s, was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
