The Sunshine Coast’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after the motorbike he was riding was reportedly struck by a four-wheel-drive, north of Gympie.
It’s believed two people were travelling on the motorcycle, when it was hit.
The helicopter was called into action around 1.30 this afternoon and landed at a property, near the accident scene.
The aeromedical crew worked with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the man, who is aged in his 40s.
He was then flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.
He travelled in a stable condition, with pelvic and possible spinal injuries.
A Queensland Government Air (QGAir) helicopter also attended the scene.
