Woman airlifted in flooded North West by LifeFlight

The Mt Isa-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has airlifted a woman after she sustained a fall at a private property inundated by flood waters.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked on January 1 at 12.05pm by Retrieval Services Queensland to the outback cattle station, 240km north of Cloncurry.

The crew landed the helicopter near the property and airlifted the woman in her 60s with leg injuries to Mt Isa Airport.

She was treated by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and transported via road to Mt Isa Hospital in a stable condition.
