RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts woman after early morning crash

The Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a woman to hospital, after she was injured in a reported vehicle rollover, this morning.

The rescue chopper was called to the Somerset region, just after 8am.

It’s believed the woman, aged in her 60s, lost control of the vehicle she had been driving, causing it to roll.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the patient for multiple injuries on scene, before taking her to a nearby town, to rendezvous with the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew.

She was then flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

It wraps up a busy weekend of motor vehicle-related missions, for LifeFlight crews.

Yesterday, the Toowoomba LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter flew a critically injured woman to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, after she was injured in a vehicle and bus crash.

On Saturday morning, the Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew airlifted a toddler to the Queensland Children’s Hospital, after a quad bike reportedly rolled over him, during a crash on a private property.
