RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts seriously injured motorcyclist

The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a motorcyclist to hospital, after he was injured in an incident in the Gympie region, this afternoon.

The rescue chopper was called into action around 1.30pm.

The pilot was able to land the aircraft in a clearing beside the road, where other emergency service personnel were already on scene.

The rider was loaded into the helicopter and flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Flight Nurse.

The man, aged in his 40s, travelled in a serious but stable condition.
