Injured man airlifted after being crushed under boat trailer

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted an injured man to hospital, after he was crushed under a boat trailer, in the South Burnett.

The helicopter was tasked around 5pm yesterday (Fri 25 Sept).

It’s believed the man had been working on the trailer, when it fell off a jack and crushed him.

Bystanders reportedly pulled him out from under the trailer.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the man and transferred him to a nearby oval, where the helicopter landed.

The man, aged in his 40s, was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a stable condition.

He suffered multiple upper body injuries.
