LifeFlight airlifts woman to hospital after crash

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a woman to hospital today after a two-vehicle crash in the Bundaberg region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked to the scene at 4:20pm and landed in a nearby truck parking bay.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked alongside local QAS paramedics to treat a stable female in her 20s for significant leg and arm injuries.

She was flown to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.

Four stable patients from the second vehicle, including two adults and two children, were transported by road to Bundaberg Hospital.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
