The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after an animal incident in the Lower Cressbrook area.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 5.25am by Retrieval Services Queensland to a dairy farm and landed in a paddock near the scene.
It is believed a man was injured after he was charged by a cow and pinned against a fence.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for significant chest injuries.
The man, in his 50s, was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition and is believed to be currently in a stable condition.
