LifeFlight airlifts man after fall from truck

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical team today airlifted a man to hospital after he was injured after falling while unloading a truck.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 8.37am by Retrieval Services Queensland to the scene in the Toowoomba region.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for head injuries.

A man in his 60s was flown to Mater Hospital in a stable condition.

The crew were then tasked at 1.35pm to airlift a woman who had been bitten by a snake on the lower leg.

Both incidents occurred near the township of Pilton.

The patient in her 30s was treated at the scene before she was flown to Toowoomba Hospital for further treatment.
