The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital, after the truck he was driving collided with another vehicle.

The rescue chopper was tasked to the incident on the Bruce Highway at Bororen around 6am.

The LifeFlight pilot landed the helicopter at a nearby oval and met Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to transfer the patient to the rescue helicopter.

The patient, aged in his 40s, was flown to Bundaberg Hospital with significant injuries to his abdomen, pelvis, head, legs, and arm.
