LifeFlight airlifts man after motocross incident

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical team today airlifted a man to hospital after a motorbike crash in the Gympie region.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 11.35am by Retrieval Services Queensland to Glen Echo and landed near the scene.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for a suspected spinal injury.

The man, in his 30s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
