LifeFlight airlifts man after machinery roll over

The LifeFlight Bundaberg-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a machinery incident.

The rescue chopper was tasked to a private property located in the Gladstone region at 11:30am.

It’s believed the patient was driving a grader vehicle on steep terrain when it rolled over.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for a leg fracture.

Multiple emergency services stretchered the patient to a nearby QAS vehicle.

The man, aged in his 60s, was then driven to the LifeFlight helicopter waiting at a local airstrip.

He was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
