The LifeFlight Bundaberg-based aeromedical team today airlifted a man to hospital after a vehicle crash.
The rescue helicopter was tasked to a farm in the Bundaberg region at 11:50am.
It’s believed the man was driving down a road to offload a sugar cane haul out truck when it rolled down an embankment and landed in a body of water.
Another person helped free the patient from the vehicle before calling emergency services.
Queensland Fire Department (QFD) personnel, Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and the LifeFlight crew worked together to stabilise the patient and move him to the nearby aircraft.
The patient, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital with multiple injuries.
