LifeFlight airlifts boy after car and pedestrian incident

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew last night airlifted a primary school aged boy to hospital from Landsborough.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 4.10pm after reports of a serious vehicle and pedestrian incident.

The helicopter landed on the road near the scene.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked together with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for head and facial injuries.

He was flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
