The Sunshine Coast’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown an injured driver to hospital, after his car crashed off the road and into the side of a house, in the Fraser Coast region.

The aeromedical team was called into action around 2.30 this afternoon.

The pilot landed the aircraft at an oval near the scene, where the patient had been transported to by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.

The patient, who is aged in his 60s, was treated for multiple injuries and flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

He travelled under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
