LifeFlight airlifts man after Mingo snake scare

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a man to hospital this morning after a close encounter with a snake in Mingo.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 10.15am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed in a paddock near the patient.

A LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient after concerns he may have been bitten by a snake.

The man, in his 40s, was then airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in stable condition for further treatment.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
