LifeFlight airlifts man after motocross crash

The LifeFlight Sunshine Coast-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a motocross crash in the Gympie region.

The rescue helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 11.16am to a motocross park.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for suspected spinal injuries.

The man, aged in his 20s, was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
