The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a forklift incident in the Gympie region.
It is believed he was servicing the forklift, when it fell and trapped him.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 10:29am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed in a paddock near the scene.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for head and chest injuries.
The man was airlifted in a life-threatening condition to Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital (RBWH) for further treatment.
