The Mount Isa-based aeromedical crew tonight airlifted a man to hospital after a snake bite.
The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 8.05pm by Retrieval Services Queensland to a mine north west of Mount Isa.
The helicopter landed at the site illuminated by vehicle headlights.
A man in his 20s was treated by the critical care Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic for a snake bite and airlifted to Mount Isa Hospital in a stable condition.
