LifeFlight airlifts man after motorcycle crash

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew tonight airlifted a man to hospital after a motorcycle crash at a state forest in Kenilworth.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 6.45pm and landed at a local primary school.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the patient from the scene to the helicopter.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS critical care flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the man in his 60s for serious chest injuries.

He was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
