LifeFlight airlifts man after chainsaw incident

The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has airlifted a man to hospital from the Gold Coast Hinterland after a chainsaw incident.

A male in his 20s sustained a leg injury.

The LifeFlight crew were able to land in a clearing close to the scene.

He was treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic and flown to Archerfield Airport, before being transported via road by QAS to QE II Hospital for further treatment.
