LifeFlight airlifts woman from flooded Lockyer Valley

The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew has airlifted a woman to safety from Laidley.

The woman, aged in her 70s, had a medical incident and called Triple Zero (OOO) on March 10, 2025.

The LifeFlight crew were able to land the helicopter in a paddock about 500m away and was transported by neighbours in a 4WD to the woman’s home which was surrounded by flood waters.

She was treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic and flown to Archerfield Airport before being transported via road by QAS to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.

LifeFlight is assisting the Queensland Government’s response to ex TC Alfred with additional rescue helicopters made available to respond to the impact on communities.
