The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew airlifted a woman this afternoon, after the ute she was travelling in rolled.
The aeromedical team was sent to a highway in the Maranoa region around 2.30pm.
The pilot was able to land the helicopter on the road near the incident.
The crew worked with emergency services including Queensland Ambulance Service.
It is believed the woman had been in the ute with her husband when the caravan the ute was towing fishtailed.
The ute and caravan then rolled over and the caravan disconnected.
The woman, aged in 60s, was transported to Roma Hospital with a minor head injury and in a stable condition.
The husband was taken to the Roma Hosptial by QAS with minor injuries.
Tasked by Queensland Health, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
