The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man, after he was hit by a car, while walking in the Western Downs.
The aircraft was tasked around 3.20pm and landed at an oval, near the scene.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the man to the waiting helicopter, where the aeromedical team joined in treating and stabilising him for the flight.
The patient, aged in his 70s, suffered multiple injuries, including to his head.
He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.
