RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts teen dirt bike rider

A teenager has been flown to hospital, after crashing his motorbike at a dirt bike track, in the Gympie region.

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene just after 1.30pm.

The aeromedical team and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated and stabilised the patient, for the flight to Brisbane.

The boy was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition, with a suspected head injury.

It’s the second off-road motorbike accident RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews have been called to this weekend.

Another teenager was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital yesterday (Saturday 18 July), after he came off his motorcycle in the Southern Downs region.
