RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts man after two vehicle smash

A man has been airlifted to hospital, after he was seriously injured in a crash, involving a truck and a car, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was sent to the area, around 1 o’clock this afternoon.

The pilot was able to land at a showground, a short distance from the accident.

The patient, aged in his fifties, was transported from the scene, to the waiting rescue chopper, by the Queensland Ambulance Service.

He’d suffered multiple injuries and was flown in a serious but stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
