Rescue chopper airlifts man after vehicle rollover

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew airlifted a man to hospital this afternoon, after he was injured in a single vehicle incident.

The aeromedical service was tasked to the Shire of Murweh at around 2pm.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics treated the patient on scene before driving him to the waiting rescue chopper at a nearby rural airport.

The man, aged in his 70s, was flown to Roma Hospital for further treatment.

Tasked by Queensland Health, the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
