LifeFlight airlifts teenager after motocross crash

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a teenager following a motocross crash.

The helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 9.40am to the North Burnett region and landed near the incident.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for leg injuries.

He was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
