Teenager airlifted after motorbike crash on property

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has flown a teenage boy to hospital, after a motorbike crash on a rural property.

It’s believed the boy lost control of the bike and struck a tree.

The aeromedical team was sent to the property in the Toowoomba region around 4.30 this afternoon (Thursday 6th July).

Once at the scene, the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic joined local QAS paramedics in treating the patient.

He had suffered possible head and neck injuries.

The boy was flown to Toowoomba Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
