RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts injured teenager

The Toowoomba RACQ Lifeflight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a teenager to hospital, after she was injured in a two car crash in the Western Downs region this morning. (Sun 2nd Jan).

The young woman was in a vehicle, which is believed to have collided head on with another, on a highway north west of Miles, just after 8am.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics transported the patient to the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, which landed at an oval, close to the scene.

The teenager was assessed and treated by the paramedics and RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical team, before being moved to the helicopter and airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital.

She was in a stable condition, with injuries to her chest and neck.
