The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted a man to hospital after he was injured in a horse riding accident this afternoon. (Sun 6th June)
He had been mustering in a paddock on a private property in the Bundaberg region, when his mount reportedly stumbled, causing both horse and rider to fall to the ground.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first to respond, treating the rider for broken ribs and other injuries, as the rescue chopper was tasked to the scene.
The man, who is aged in his thirties, was in a stable condition, when he was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital, under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Flight paramedic.
