RACQ LifeFlight Rescue joins search for missing boatie

The Bundaberg RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has joined the search for a missing boatie, off the coast of Fraser Island.

The rescue chopper was sent to the search area, by the Queensland Police Service, around 3pm today (May 27) after a man took his vessel out and failed to return to shore.

After searching for more than 2 hours, the helicopter was stood down.
