Teen rider airlifted after off-road motorbike accident

The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a teenage motorcyclist to hospital, after he reportedly hit a root and came off his bike.

The crew was called to the scene, on a private property on the Southern Downs, just after 2pm.

The aeromedical team joined Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics in treating the male patient and stabilising him for the flight.

He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a stable condition.
