Man airlifted to hospital after heavy machinery accident

The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital after he was seriously injured in a heavy machinery accident.

The helicopter crew flew to an airport in the Maranoa region, shortly after 12.30 this afternoon (Saturday 11th Dec).

The patient, who had suffered multiple injuries, was transported to the airport by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.

He was then airlifted to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in a serious condition, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic.
