Man airlifted after ride-on mower rollover

The Sunshine Coast’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a man to hospital, after he was injured in a ride-on mower rollover, on a property in the Moreton Bay region.

The chopper was called into action around 6pm (Tuesday 12th April).

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the man at the scene before transporting him via road to an oval, where the rescue helicopter was able to land.

The patient, aged in his 50s, was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.

He travelled in a stable condition, with upper body and spinal injuries.
