LifeFlight airlifts man trampled by steer

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a steer incident.

It is believed the man in his 70s was working on a cattle station in the Bundaberg region when he was trampled.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 3.50pm and landed at the property.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for significant chest injuries.

He was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight helicopter and crew service the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.
