LifeFlight airlifts man after quadbike rollover

The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a man to hospital after a quadbike crash.

It is believed the man in his 20s was mustering cattle when the quadbike rolled, and his leg became trapped under the bullbar.

The rescue helicopter was tasked to a private property in the South Burnett region at 11:35am.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for a leg injury.

The man was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
