LifeFlight airlifts man after motorcycle incident

The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) crew today airlifted a man to hospital after he came off a motorcycle.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked at 11.39am by Retrieval Services Queensland and landed on a road north of Roma.

The critical care LifeFlight doctor and flight paramedic worked with local QAS paramedics to treat the patient for significant head, arm and leg injuries.

The man, aged in his 60s, was airlifted in a stable condition to the LifeFlight Roma base and road transported by QAS paramedics to Roma Hospital.

The LifeFlight SGAS helicopter and crew performed this mission as part of the SGAS partners’ commitment to providing community aeromedical coverage.
