LifeFlight airlifts injured trail bike rider with broken leg

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a man from a campground on the border of North and South Burnett regions this afternoon after he came off a trail bike.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 1.02pm.

It is believed the man was riding in the bush tracks when he crashed.

The aeromedical crew was able to land at the campground helipad.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the man for a broken leg.

The patient was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
