The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew today airlifted a school aged female to hospital, after a bicycle incident in the Toowoomba region.
The rescue helicopter was tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland at 10:25am to campgrounds near Anduramba and landed close to the incident.
It’s believed the child had been riding trails with her family when she was riding downhill and fell from her bike.
The critical care LifeFlight doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic worked with local paramedics to treat the patient for head injuries.
She was airlifted to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
