Teenage trail bike rider airlifted after crash

Bundaberg’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a teenage girl to hospital, after she was injured in a trail bike crash, earlier today (Sunday 9th August).

The rescue chopper was called to the scene, south of Gladstone, just after midday.

It’s believed the patient had been riding with family and friends, at a trail bike park, when she lost control and crashed.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to treat the teenager for several limb and upper body injuries.

She was airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital, in a stable condition.
