The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a man to hospital, after a dirt bike crash, this afternoon (Sat 8th August).
The rescue chopper was sent to the scene, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, at 3pm.
It’s believed the man, aged in his 30s, was riding his motocross bike, when he lost control on a turn and crashed.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and private medical staff were already treating the patient, for suspected serious upper body injuries, when the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical team arrived.
The patient was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
