RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifts man shot in leg

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a man to hospital, after he was reportedly shot in the leg, on a private property.

The crew was called to the property in the South Burnett region, just before 6.30pm last night.

The man, aged in his 20s, was treated by Queensland Police Service (QPS) officers and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers, before the helicopter arrived.

He was then flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.
