Toowoomba’s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew has flown a seriously injured woman to hospital, after she fell from a horse, in the Western Downs.
The helicopter was called into action just before 7.30pm tonight (Thursday 8 October) and landed at an oval, near the accident scene.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics, who initially treated the woman, transported her to the aircraft.
She was then flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and a QAS Flight Paramedic.
The patient, aged in her 40s, travelled in a serious but stable condition, with suspected spinal injuries.
