LifeFlight airlifts man after tractor incident

The Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew has airlifted an injured man, after he was involved in a tractor incident, in the Scenic Rim region.

It’s believed the man had been riding a tractor on a private property, when it crashed into an overhanging tree branch, leaving him trapped between the branch and the vehicle.

The man, aged in his 80s, suffered chest injuries.

The rescue chopper was called into action just after 11.30am (Sun, Jun 18) and landed near the scene a short time later.

The aeromedical crew worked alongside local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics to assist the man.

He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
