The Roma-based LifeFlight Surat Gas Aeromedical Service (SGAS) helicopter crew has flown a man to hospital, after he was injured in a truck rollover in the Maranoa region, this afternoon.
It’s believed the man, who is aged in his 20s, was driving at a worksite, when he lost control of the vehicle while turning a corner.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the truck, suffered head injuries as a result of the rollover.
The rescue chopper was tasked to assist, just after 2pm.
Local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics transported the patient to a nearby airstrip, a few kilometres from the scene of the crash, where the LifeFlight SGAS pilot landed the helicopter.
The man was flown to Roma, in a stable condition, under the supervision of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor.
He was then transported to Roma Hospital by QAS.
