The LifeFlight Bundaberg-based aeromedical crew today airlifted a man after a single vehicle rollover south of Mount Perry.
The rescue helicopter was tasked at 12.55pm by Retrieval Services Queensland to the accident scene, bringing a specialist aeromedical team directly to the patient.
The man had to be extricated from his vehicle by Queensland Fire and Rescue before the critical care LifeFlight doctor, Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic and local QAS paramedics worked together to assess and treat him at the scene.
He was treated for head and limb injuries.
The patient, aged in his 70s, was airlifted to the LifeFlight Bundaberg base, where he was transferred by ambulance to Bundaberg Hospital.
